Solvents meant for wool strip the oils that keep leather supple. A jacket dried too fast stiffens and cracks along the seams. And every hide is different. Luxe cleans leather, suede, nubuck and shearling jackets, coats, skirts and trousers as specialist work: inspected first, cleaned with a leather-specific process, conditioned so the hide stays supple, and finished by hand — collected from your door in Paddington, Mosman or the CBD.

Two jackets that look alike can need different work. An aniline hide takes dye differently from a pigmented one; a suede that has been rained on has water marks that need re-napping; a lining may hold perspiration that must be cleaned without wetting the skin; a stain on a pale hide may lift completely or only partially, and you should know which before you agree. Our process is inspect, quote, agree, clean — in that order.
Leather is cleaned with a process designed for hides rather than cloth, then conditioned so the garment stays supple. Suede is cleaned and the nap raised again by hand. Shearling is cleaned so the wool fluffs and the skin does not harden.

Leather garments are collected from and returned to your home, building concierge, office or hotel across 58 Sydney suburbs, spanning the Eastern Suburbs, Lower North Shore, CBD and Inner West, for a flat $25 per booking. Our standard 3–5 day turnaround, with Quick (+25%) and Rush (+100%) selected at booking, applies to cloth; leather needs longer, we confirm timing with you at collection, and same-day does not apply to it.

Leather and suede garments start from $120, excluding GST, and are always quoted after inspection: the finish (aniline, semi-aniline, pigmented, nubuck, shearling), the colour, the panel construction, the lining and any staining each change the method. We do not clean handbags, shoes or furniture, and we do not offer repairs or re-waterproofing. Garments are collected and returned across 58 Sydney suburbs for $25 flat.
