Dress dry cleaning in Sydney for the pieces that matter: a dress is the garment most likely to be worn once and kept for years — which makes it the garment most likely to go into a wardrobe with an evening still on it. Champagne dries clear and browns over weeks; fake tan at the straps sets with warmth; hem soil from a lawn or a dance floor works into the weave. Luxe cleans cocktail, evening, ball and formal dresses by hand, collects them from your door in Paddington, Bellevue Hill or Mosman in the week after the event, and returns them covered and on a hanger, ready for the next one.
Heat and water are the enemies of most occasion wear. Each Luxe dress is handled with:

Hand-cleaning of silk, satin, crepe, chiffon and jersey

Beading, sequins and embroidery tested and cleaned by hand

Tulle and organza steamed so the structure lifts rather than flattens

Perspiration, fake tan and champagne treated before they set

Eco-friendly solvent that keeps drape and colour

Returned covered on a hanger, or folded flat for heavy bodices

Silk and satin are cleaned in an eco-friendly solvent and finished by hand, because water leaves rings. Chiffon and georgette are handled to avoid snagging and pressed with low heat so seams do not pucker. Tulle and organza are steamed. Crepe and jersey hold perspiration and fragrance in the weave and need cleaning rather than airing. Embellishment is hand-cleaned after the thread and backing are tested — heat is the enemy of most beading, which is why these dresses should stay well away from a home dryer or an iron.
Perspiration through the bodice, deodorant at the underarms, fake tan at the neckline and straps, makeup at the shoulder, champagne and white wine that leave no visible mark until they brown, and whatever the hem collected. Most of it is straightforward within a week or two; all of it is harder after a summer in a wardrobe. If a spill has happened, blot, do not rub — our stain first-aid guide covers the first ten minutes, and embellished dresses have their own note. Wedding gowns have their own service.

We come to you: a dress is collected from your home, building concierge, office or hotel anywhere in our 58 Sydney suburbs — Eastern Suburbs, Lower North Shore, CBD and Inner West — and returned the same way for a flat $25 per booking. Allow 3–5 days as standard. If the next event is close, Quick (+25%) and Rush (+100%) can be selected when you book; same-day is subject to availability, so book it and we will confirm whether it can be done.
What it costs. A standard dress starts from $45 and an evening or cocktail dress from $95, excluding GST, confirmed after inspection. Silk or satin, a lining, layered tulle, beading or sequins, boning, and marks at the neckline or hem are what take a dress from the first figure toward the second — a plain cotton shift and a beaded silk gown are not the same piece of work, and we would rather confirm the real figure at collection than promise one online. Full indicative list on our pricing page.
From the week after the event to the week before the next one.

A dress worn once should be ready to wear again in a year. Designer and couture pieces go through our designer garment service and couture finishing. Each dress we clean is handled with:

Yes, under a separate service. Wedding gowns are cleaned through our wedding dress cleaning service, and gowns being kept are boxed through wedding dress preservation. Pricing is quoted after inspection, because train length, layers and beading vary so much. This page covers cocktail, evening, formal and bridesmaid dresses, which are collected and returned across 58 Sydney suburbs.
Usually, if the dress is cleaned within days. Fake tan is a dye that sets with warmth and time, so a dress left in a bag through summer is a much harder case. Blot, do not rub, and book a pickup.
