Our cleaning chemistry is matched to natural-fibre furnishings — wool lanolin preserved, silk protein-safe, plant fibres treated at low temperatures to prevent shrinkage. No aggressive detergents that fade vegetable dyes or compromise hand-knotted weaves. Your Persian returns with its colour, lustre and weave exactly as when it arrived.
A curtain is a construction, not just a length of fabric — face cloth, lining, interlining, header tape and weights, all ageing at different rates. Luxe assesses every window dressing before anything touches it, then matches the method to the build: sheers kept soft and true to width, blockout coatings protected from heat and solvent, pleats and S-folds hand-dressed so the fall is as considered as the day they were hung. Every curtain is quoted per metre once we sight the fabric and construction — so the quote reflects the actual work.
French and Belgian linen cleaned square and true to length. Silk and silk blends solvent-cleaned and finished without pressure shine or water marks. Velvet and chenille cleaned and finished pile-up, never crushed. Wool and insulating weaves refreshed without felting; fine sheers cleaned cool to protect handle and width.
